Science - Climate Science and Impacts or present-day climate change

• Distinguish between climate and weather
• Explain how the natural greenhouse effect influences global climate
• Identify the characteristics of climate change
• Investigate and report on the consequences of climate change
• Investigate the effects of climate change on the water cycle and ecosystems
• Investigate how satellites collect global data, including data on ocean temperatures, sea levels, and forest and ice cover, and examine how this data is used to evaluate the impact of climate change

Geography - Climate Change

• Spatial and temporal characteristics of climate change at a global scale
• Environmental and human impacts of climate change at a range of scales
• Challenges, opportunities and responses
• The effectiveness of people and organisations in managing ONE climate change challenge at a selected place

Cost

$40 per student (paid to Sydney Institute of Marine Science)

Minimum booking size

Excursions need a minimum of 15 students to run, or a minimum payment of $550 plus GST.
Please contact us if you have a class smaller than 15 and we can try to combine with a second school.
