IMOS, the Integrated Marine Observing System, is a range of data collection equipment, used by researchers in a number of universities and research institutes, along with the systems and software to store, analyse and display this important marine data. It includes equipment such as satellite remote sensing, ocean radar, wave buoys, deep water buoys, ocean gliders, Argo floats, the National Mooring Network, and Ships of Opportunity (SOOP). IMOS provides a collection, storage and analysis system so that data is open and freely available to foster collaboration and advance marine research. Download the IMOS Comic |
