The Harbour School Sydney

Location

Excursions run in partnership with the Sydney Institute of Marine Science are located at Chowder Bay Rd, Mosman.

By undertaking one of the excursions run at the Sydney Institute of Marine Science, you:
- have access to a classroom/lab (particularly useful if there is wet weather)
- can view the indoor research aquarium and outdoor research aquarium tanks
- visit the tech labs where equipment is prepared for deployment to collect ocean data
- undertake fieldwork at Chowder Bay - easy access to the beach

For information about excursions run at other locations, please view the individual excursion pages.

There is a designated parking stop for buses, and a public bus stop, just outside the lab and classroom.

Alternatively, you may choose to catch a ferry to Taronga Zoo Ferry stop and then walk to the Sydney Institute of Marine Science. This will take around 45 minutes.

We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and recognise their continuing connection with, and knowledge about, land, waters and community. We pay our respects to them and their cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.

The Harbour School Sydney acknowledges the Cammeraygal people of the Eora Nation, the Traditional Owners of the land and waters where we work and learn. We are committed to fostering partnerships that unite us in our stewardship of the ocean.
