Operation Posidonia & Seeds of the Sea

Picture
Operation Posidonia Comic

Posidonia Australis is an important habitat, source of food and shelter for a variety of aquatic organisms such as seahorses, pipefish and seadragons.

It is threatened by human activities including foreshore construction, dredging, trampling and boat moorings and anchors.

Operation Posidonia is an ecosystem restoration project that aims to restore damage seagrass meadows through planting of posidonia fragments, and the  introduction of sustainable mooring techniques
