Seeds Of The Sea For Schools
The Seeds of the Sea research project focuses on tracking flowering and fruiting of endangered seagrass Posidonia australis. In NSW, we still know little about when and where Posidonia australis reproduces. Mapping these flowering events helps identify key areas for seed collection and helps guide restoration along our coast.
Students are invited to be citizen scientists and collect information about the flowering, fruiting and seeding of this important seagrass.
For more details about seagrass restoration, visit the Seeds of the Sea and Posidonia australis page.
